What Are Sunday’s Like?

Sundays at CPC are really friendly times.  Like most churches, when we get together we sing, we pray, we read the bible and somebody speaks.  In churches we call that preaching.  Most of us have children, or grandchildren, so we are very alert to the need to be interesting and not too long.  Our Sunday services run for between 60 and 75 minutes and there’s always a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.

If you are new to church, don’t panic about your visit.  We won’t ask you to stand up and introduce yourself; we won’t ask you to say anything and we won’t pass a collection box around.  In short, we won’t pester you at all!  But you will receive a warm welcome and a smile and people will be very happy to chat, if you would like to chat with us.

We are always happy to see children in church and can cope with them if they are noisy.  There are always children who need looking after and our helpers are DBS checked and perfectly used to playing with children while mum or dad are listening to the talk.

Here’s Steve, answering the question, “what do you do at your church?”
Don’t be put off by the open mouth or the monk-like appearance!
